There’s something special about connecting with nature, especially in the comfort of home. Recently, while spending time in my garden in Costa Rica, I found myself drawn to the beauty of a blossoming red amapola tree.

The bright petals stood out against the lush green surroundings, creating the perfect backdrop for a photoshoot that encapsulates the natural beauty of this tropical paradise.
The garden is a sanctuary. It offers a calm atmosphere, the sound of birds in the background, and the refreshing scent of flowers in bloom. It’s where the morning sun kisses the skin and creates a soft glow—an invitation to step outside and enjoy a peaceful moment.
For this photoshoot, I chose a simple yet striking outfit—a knotted white crop top paired with bright red high-waisted shorts. The contrast between the deep red of the amapola flowers and the vibrant red of the shorts felt harmonious, blending perfectly with the natural hues of the surroundings. The lightweight fabric of the outfit allowed for ease and comfort, ideal for the warm, tropical air.
In the first few images, I stand beside the amapola tree, its vibrant red blossoms complementing the simple elegance of the outfit. The flowers seem to reach out, as if drawn to the energy of the moment. The backdrop of dense greenery frames the scene, reminding me of how much I love living amidst nature.
There’s also a charming interaction with two of my beloved garden companions—my cats. In one of the shots, they gather around my feet, adding a playful, heartwarming touch to the overall vibe of the session. Their presence always brings joy to any quiet day spent at home, and they seem just as connected to the peaceful energy of the garden as I am.
This photoshoot was a spontaneous decision, inspired by the beauty of my natural surroundings. It serves as a reminder of the importance of grounding myself in the present, appreciating the simple pleasures that living in Costa Rica offers. The moments shared with nature, the calmness of the garden, and the connection with my furry companions all come together to create a serene, fulfilling experience.
