Morning Glory, San Diego

There’s something about Morning Glory that makes brunch feel like a full-blown sensory experience.
From the moment you walk in, the soft shimmer of copper tones, patterned ceilings, and mid-century geometry pull you into a world that’s part retro diner, part dreamscape.
I sat by the curved pastel booths under that golden light, ordering a turmeric latte and a fresh juice that matched the mood — bright, earthy, and alive.
The room was humming with that San Diego weekend energy: conversations flowing, clinking glasses, and sunlight refracting through colored glassware.
For this look, I went for cozy yet bold — an olive green distressed knit crop turtleneck paired with high-waisted denim shorts, sheer tights, grey knee-high socks, and tall black platform boots.
It’s the kind of outfit that balances comfort with confidence — effortless but full of attitude. The textures played beautifully against the café’s warm metallic decor.
As I sipped my drink and looked around, I realized that Morning Glory isn’t just a brunch spot — it’s a vibe. It’s the slow ritual of letting the morning stretch into early afternoon, of savoring coffee foam art and golden light, of being exactly where you are.
