Through Shadows

Welcome to a look at one of my most intimate and artistic photo shoots to date—shot deep in the heart of Bali with the incredibly talented Wesley Lewis.
This series explores texture, light, and the contrast between exposure and mystery.
It was an experiment in vulnerability, beauty, and presence.
Our shoot took place in a raw, concrete villa tucked away in the tropical jungle.
With its weathered walls, open views of lush greenery, and soft natural light pouring in through large windows, it was the perfect canvas for our vision.
We started the session slow, grounded in stillness.
I sat barefoot on a towel by the window, absorbed in a book, wrapped in calm and contemplation.
The light danced gently over my skin as if time paused just for that moment.
Wearing only a black tie-side bikini bottom, I allowed my body to merge with the minimal setting—exposed, yet unguarded.
Wesley’s lens captured more than just form; it captured feeling.
As the session evolved, so did the light—and so did we.
We played with silhouettes behind soft linen, where my body transformed into a shadow sculpture—feminine, fluid, abstract.
These frames challenged the traditional gaze and invited the viewer to look deeper, beyond identity, beyond form.
We later introduced a futuristic twist—using post-edit color distortion and heat-map-style overlays to morph the silhouette into a surreal, dreamlike figure.
In one standout image, my form becomes almost alien: glowing red and violet with soft green outlines, like energy made visible.
Another visual highlight? A delicate metal chain outfit, handmade and raw, that shimmered softly against the Bali sun.
It was bold, edgy, and empowering—fitting the mood perfectly.
This shoot was a reminder of the power of experimentation.
When you step out of your comfort zone—whether as a model, an artist, or a woman—you open the door to new ways of seeing yourself.
These aren’t just photos. They’re fragments of a feeling, a place, a moment where art, body, and light became one.
Thank you, Bali. Thank you, Wesley.
