Jungle Reflections: A Serene Escape to Playa Chiquita’s Natural Pools
There’s something sacred about the moment when ocean and jungle kiss — where saltwater flows through rocky veins sculpted by time, and stillness hums with life.
That’s exactly what I felt in the crystal-clear tide pools of Playa Chiquita, tucked in the heart of Costa Rica’s lush Caribbean coast.
The natural pools formed between volcanic rock and soft coral are a dream come true.
At low tide, they fill with warm water, calm and transparent — a private spa gifted by Mother Earth.
Here, surrounded by dense green canopy and serenaded by tropical birds, I felt both fierce and free.
Each step into the water was grounding. The textures beneath my feet — soft sand, mossy stones, and ancient reef — reminded me how alive the land is in Manzanillo.
The sun played on the water, creating flickers of light that danced across my skin.
For this shoot, I chose a minimal red-and-black bikini that contrasts the raw, organic tones of the environment.
The clean lines and sleek fit embraced simplicity while still making a statement — perfect for this primal setting.
My necklace, a silver branch-like design, echoed the forest around me. I wore it intentionally — to reflect nature, not overpower it.
No shoes, no makeup — just wind in my hair, water on my skin, and the jungle behind me.
We arrived early, just as golden light filtered through the trees.
The stillness was surreal. No crowd, no noise — just me and the elements.
The soft ripples of water echoed my breath. Every frame captured by the lens felt like an offering to nature.
